The picture above is a representation of the spirit and creativity I am striving to create with teams I lead. It was created by the team to represent us at an internal design conference.
A healthy team allows all members of the team, regardless of their role and seniority to voice their point of view, and to give and receive candid feedback to further design ideas or processes quickly. Open, direct communication and identifying designers’ and team members strengths and leveraging them to their advantage, is a big part of my management style.
I am passionate about an engaged, connected, creative team that helps customers be more efficient and supports business growth with their designs and visions. I build, mentor, and lead teams to trust and be trusted by all business stakeholders in a psychologically safe manner.
A team that observes, listens, and empathizes with end users and stakeholders is best equipped to streamline workflows, experiences and their method of implementation. Not taking myself completely seriously all the time allows the team to be more creative, think big and create innovative solutions that drive business forward.
