Autodesk Showcase
2012 - 2003

Showcase was a real-time visualization application targeting the automotive industry supporting design reviews.

I lead the product definition of Showcase as product owner, user experience team lead and manager over the course of its life span. In this role I managed product designers, user experience researchers, graphic designers as well as external contractors to develop design proposals and their implementation.
Designers worked together with development and product management with validation and feedback from lighthouse customers.

We designed several innovative experiences during the application's life span. Examples include:
- An in-canvas overlay UI, which functioned as authoring and presentation UI.
- Visually aligned hardware and software rendering, increasing visualization setup and tuning speed significantly.
- A full High Dynamic Range (HDR) lighting pipeline, which enabled full photo-realistic visualization.

Showcase was the standard in-house design review and visualization solution for companies like Mercedes, Audi and others enabling them to review early and often, shortening the design cycle and achieving better results.
